## What Nalda does

Nalda reads content a school publishes, answers questions families ask from that content with a citation, refuses when it is not confident and hands the question to a named person instead, books visits on the school's own calendar, and gives staff a queue of what needs a human.

Nalda is a tool the school operates. Answers are given in the school's name, from the school's own material, under settings the school controls.

## The account

A school signs up, connects its own website and its own calendar, and invites its own staff. The person who signs up is responsible for who they invite and what permission tier they give them.

Accounts are for schools and similar institutions. One account is one institution.

## What the school is responsible for

- The accuracy of its own content. Nalda answers from what the school publishes. If the published tuition figure is wrong, the answer will repeat it, with a citation to the page it came from.

- Reviewing what the assistant is allowed to answer on its own. Topic policies and verified answers exist for this, and the high stakes topics start locked.

- Having a lawful basis for contacting the families in its own account.

- Keeping its own staff accounts secure.

## What Nalda is responsible for

- Running the service, keeping it available, and telling schools when it is not.

- Answering only from the school's own content, with a citation, or refusing.

- Never sending, booking or writing anything on the school's behalf without either a deterministic rule the school configured or a person pressing a button.

- Processing family data only on the school's instructions, as set out in the data processing agreement.

## What the assistant will not do

It does not invent facts. Every factual sentence is bound to a passage of the school's own content, and a sentence that cannot be bound is removed and the question is escalated to a person.

It does not act on instructions typed by a family. A message from a family is treated as untrusted input, is screened, and reaches no tool that can send, book or write.

It does not link out to anywhere except the school's own domain and the school's own booking page.

## Acceptable use

Do not use Nalda to send unsolicited bulk messages, to impersonate an institution you do not represent, to store student records or health information, or to attempt to extract another school's data.

Automated abuse of a school's public widget, including scraping and load generation, is grounds for rate limiting or suspension of the endpoint.

## Payment

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe. A plan can be cancelled at any time and runs to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded pro rata unless the service failed materially.

## Ending it

A school can leave at any time. On request, its data is exported and then deleted. If a school does not ask, the account and its data are deleted 90 days after the subscription ends.

Nalda can end an account for non-payment or for a breach of acceptable use, with notice and with an export offered first.

## Liability

Nalda is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot be limited by law.
